Thanks to Gette and Shook, I am now looking forward to two things.

1) Hot men who just seem to make really funny movies when they set their minds to it.

I love the hooker budget and the fact that George Clooney is a Jedi!! Shook made me watch the trailer. Now, not only do I want to watch the movie, I want to own the dvd!

2) The only multi player game that I am rather excited about. Gette, we're on the same side!

Swords.... I have misgivings about the monsters but the premise of the game is interesting.
As of today, I have officially become a supporter of and contributor to Electronic Arts.

After much texting to my youngest sister in Dubai, she finally messaged me and said my mom bought me an original copy of The Sims 3. Even after I told her that I had bought a dubious copy already to test my system with. But since they've already got it for me, I guess I can now sign up at the website and download stuff. Yay! A perk!

As for my system, it works on my pc. However, I had an error message while installing it. One of the date files won't install so it crapped up my game. The game loads fast, plays well EXCEPT that I can't see the colours to some objects and my Sims are all either black and hite only. So I presume that's part of the data that went haywire.

However, just to be safe (and to stick to my tradition) I'm going to get a new graphics card tomorrow and then install the game on Tuesday when my parents get back from Dubai.

And then we'll see.

And, as a testament to her parents' obsession with games, Athena loves the Sims and keeps chuckling at the characters in the opening sequence.
I have been waiting for The Sims 3 since last year. Despite knowing how Americans write their dates, I was excited enough that I once got fooled by someone into thinking it was coming out in February instead of June.

I am serious enough about Sims that I am prepared to buy the original game. Not pirated, not copied. I figured since I love it so much, I should at least get one original version before I or it died. So I'm going to do just that.

And true to my tradition, I am going to upgrade my graphics card just for The Sims 3. Tomorrow.

I also (why, oh why?) downloaded a PDF of The Sims 3 Prima Guide. Why am I moaning? I am suddenly being reminded why I really, really want this version. Since I've completed by evil empire on Evil Genius, I can now make my own evil genius on Sims.

Either that or create a blonde, blue-eyed vegetarian cutie with a mean streak of evil in him/her.

How morbid is that!

ETA: I just saw this!!:It might be a bit small but you get the idea. I can create a kleptomaniac! Wow! I'd love to see that one at work.
I was so deliriously happy to see this piece of news. And to make things more whee worthy, I went and read this at the creator's own blog. American McGee's sequel to Alice, at last!!

A person I used to call my friend got me hooked on American McGee's Alice the first time. Since then, I've played it and uninstalled it and then re-installed it to play it again. Some parts give me a horrible headache because of the things we have to do to get from one point to the other. It's a little frustrating at parts but definitely not a game to play to relax. It's kinda like playing the Harry Potter games but less whiney.

I am so bloody glad the sequel is in the works. A game to look forward to!

And if you have never played Alice, do go try it. It is whacked and I think it is an excellent game.
To those who are playing Evil Genius, The Evil Planet website is closing down.

It has been a wonderful resource site especially after the official game site went down.

So, if you think you might need anything else from there, go grab it soon. After that, it will be gone.

If it has come to this, I suppose there is an even greater likelihood that we will not be getting an Evil Genius sequel.

*sigh* So sad! This is the only game in the whole game-verse that I lament the losing of.
I was at the computer game shop last night to buy The Sims 2. I had two dvds of this game before. One seems to have gone missing while the other one doesn't install. So I bought another. While there, I saw that the shop had installed Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars in their pc. I've been fascinated since Jerome showed me the game trailer over the weekend. So I played around with the game for a while and now I'm interested. Only problem is I still have Evil Genius and Neverwinter Nights 2 in my pc. And I just bought Splinter Cell:Double Agent.

But I really, really would like to try Command and Conquer. Anyone else ever played it before? I don't remember hearing any of the guys ever playing it.

Now I'm afraid my Evil Genius cd might go missing. Games have a tendency of going missing among our friends. I know I bought one copy for Shook once and that's gone missing. Rin had one once and that's gone missing too. So my copy is the one we have now. Shook borrowed that and now Rin has it. If it stays with Rin, at least I know where to find it. But if it leaves that house, that might be the last I see of it. Maybe I'll get it back and make a copy and let that one run around among our friends.

I'm hoping very hard Evil Genius 2 will come out. That game gets more fun the more it's played. I played it the first time about 3 years ago. And, for once, I was the one who introduced it to all the guys. But they were not interested until I got Shook to play it. Let's just say we spent that entire Hari Raya stuck to our computers. And now, somehow, we're playing it again. Shook started it by mentioning it to Wil, who then put it into his pc. Then Rin got interested again and now she has it in her pc. I've always had it in mine so I was fine. But it is one very cool game. Where else can you get to play an evil genius?

I remember there was this PS2 game where you can play the devil and get as many souls as possible or try to conquer the world or something like that. Anyone remember that game? I want it now. I'm trying to take the PS2 back from Shook. Instead of it just sitting there, I might as well take it back to my place. And play God of War 2. Haha!
The title is a quote from Rin.

After an interesting evening out last night, I decided to reinstall my Zeus and Pharaoh games.

And it all began when Rin started talking about Sid Meier's Civ 2 and I mentioned a world building game I loved playing where you can click on the people and find out what is wrong with your world.

Then Ian added by saying he played that game and we began talking about how incredible it was.

And although we did talk about Clive Barker's Undying, we still managed to get back to Pharaoh and Zeus and Emperor.

And that, as they always say, was that.

Oh, and Mac, if you're reading this, the Supernatural episode this Sunday on TV3, is the one with Amy Acker in it....I think. Actually, I'm pretty sure it is :)
