I have not been online for a few days because I've been having problems with my connection. Streamyx had replied my email earlier by saying that the problem seems to be my phone line. All this was after the horrible storm we had a few days ago.
Anyway, after the party I organised for Rin last night, I am now so looking forward to being paid this coming week. Unfortunately, I'm just going to be the middle person between my bank and the bills I have to pay. It gets frustrating after awhile. Maybe this is why those get-rich-quick schemes are so popular.
Well, I have nothing much to write about. Just that I won't be online very much despite this week being a holiday week. But I will try to connect the old fashion way - dial-up!! Hee! Hee! I'm using it now. But since it's a weekend, it's not too bad.
That's it from me for now. Hopefully next time I'll be more coherent.
I was watching TV at Shook's house tonight and discovered the existence of 10-8. I always Danny Nucci was kinda cute but then I saw this guy. I think it was the glasses that made me say he was cute too...or maybe this photo just does not do him justice. But then my American friends always did say I have a fascination for very common looking guys.

Anyway, the show was quite palatable but, for some reason, Yodie found it very fascinating. She actually sat on Shook's keyboard tray and watched the show for at least 15 minutes before she fell asleep and decided to turn around to face the other way. Of course, she disturbed Shook's Flight Simulator game along the way.

Another thing about TV nowadays is the patrotic moments when they want to remind us it's Independence month a.k.a. Bulan Merdeka. I was watching one tonight when it started out with the colours and symbols of the flag being explained. Then they showed who was doing the explaining. At first, I couldn't figure out what the animated characters were. They looked like blobs to me. Then, upon further inspection and two similar advertisements (?) later, I realised that they were food products. Nuts, to be exact. By the 3rd ad, to which they were singing a patriotic song, my only thought was "Malaysians admit to being NUTS?! WTF is going on?"

I very distinctly saw a peanut and a cashew nut. I think there was a piece of corn and a kidney bean too. Maybe we're an assortment of ais kacang condiments or something. But yeah...we're nuts!
It is 4 more months to the end of the year. You know what this means? It means I have 2 more weeks of mock exams, 10 days of break which will be filled with report writing and marking 65 exam papers, 2 more weeks of mock exams, IGCSE exams, more report writing, more exams, working on the school yearbook and end of school chaos.

Those who have known me long will know not to push my buttons for the next few months. Some who have known me long I know will continue to be all holier-than-thou because they can't help themselves and have absolutely no clue how to be a good friend.

Other than that, life is good. Sometimes, I go to Shook's house wondering whether I'm there to see him or to see Yodie. But I like his parents. They're not as harsh as mine. My dad got upset with me last night because I answered him halfway through a statement he has made many times before and my mom is not happy with my sister because she went for a very late party and opted to sleep over at the friend's house without planning it properly or asking proper permission. Well, she didn't get home until after noon the next day.

ON another note, I told my mom that Shook's parents fly off to China at 5 a.m. So when she woke up at 5, her first thoughts were of them being in the plane already. My mom is funny that way too.
I read this article today although the article is dated 7 August.

I know my friends and I have played war-themed computer games and we've talked about war as if it was an adventure. We've cheered at war movies and we've glorified war heroes.

I am not one to support America blindly but I don't hate the people either. I don't condone what the government does. But, after living there, I have learnt that the people tend to have a different vision compared to the Administration.

After reading this article, I really wonder why some parties refuse to learn from their mistakes. I know a lot of people generally don't like to study or to read about History, but how else can we learn from our mistakes?

How many more mistakes do we need to make before we realise it soon enough to stop ourselves from doing it again?
I meant to go straight to sleep after watching The Apprentice but something happened which I could not resist writing about.

On tonight's show, Chris finally got fired. I mean, he's not a bad guy but he's been slowly getting on my nerves. But what fascinated me was what happened after he got fired. Normally, on all past episodes, you can see how the candidates took everything said about them and to them in the boardroom very personally.

But tonight, Brent, Alex and Chris went at each other, criticised each other but after that, they went out of the boardroom still friends. In fact, I found it rather sweet that Donald Trump called Chris back to give him some 'fatherly' advice. It didn't help that Chris was crying at that time, too.

But those three men actually walked out and hugged each other and I know that, before they walked in, in the first place, they actually took the whole thing as an adventure. I liked the fact that they didn't take it so personally. Donald Trump even said it himself not to take the whole thing too personally.

Yet, in past episodes, I have seen girls get so personal about it that they almost hated each other. Heck, in real life, girls can get personal about things that are usually not worth getting personal over. I have fallen into that trap of taking things too personally a few times. I'm not proud of that fact but I'm adult enough to admit it.

Sometimes, I wish I had the attitude that guys do. I like who I am but I do wish I could be a bit more like them as well. I'll probably be able to achieve more too with less emotional hassle. Maybe this is why I enjoy spending time with the guys. Not because I aim to be the next slut but because I can learn so much from them attitude-wise. I listen to what they like and don't like and try to incorporate that into who I am. Maybe that's why they like to call me out with them.

On another note, I discovered tonight that Will sometimes has problems saying certain words: Sony Ericsson can become Sony erection and sentences like 'Yanks are not very friendable!' escapes from his lips. I have to admit, the look on Shook's face was priceless.

Also, to some people who have been doing a very good job at annoying other people, when I'm teasing you about the fact that you're using your left hand to handle a chopstick, I'm not challenging you to a bloody penis-envy contest. I have no penis and I'm proud of it! What's your excuse?!
If you're a fan of Star Wars and was a wee bit disappointed with the Revenge of The Sith, you have to go to this blog. It shows the captions from a DVD. Anyway, the blog explains the problem.

I absolutely love the last one!!
I went for the worst meeting ever last night. All the old farts who were there started blaming us young ones. Why? Because we didn't do what they told us we won't need to do in the first place. Sounds complicated? It's simple. First they told us we only need to help sell tickets to a function, and nothing else. Last night, they scolded us for not doing our part in making the arrangements for hotel and publicity. All these were things they said they will do when they first sold us the idea in the beginning. Who won't get angry, I ask you?

So, to cool down, I went to The Crib, where I met up with Will, Tremas, Jerome, Aaron, Raymond and Simon. Oh, they cheered me so well that I almost cried laughing. It was a blast! I learnt so many things about Simon like his love for cars (mine in particular!). We had a great time! I only got home at almost 1 a.m. And I saw (didn't meet because she didn't seem interested to be introduced to me!) Screwable Jo! Well, we had a worst name for her but for the sake of this blog, I thought I'd tone it down a bit. We laughed at the poor guy with her because when they left, he had a sad look as if he knew he won't be getting any last night. But I could personally see that Jo is used to being the centre of attention that she didn't like the idea of sharing the limelight. Didn't help that Tremas and I were sitting and laughing with Will, Raymond, Simon and Aaron at the table next to hers. It's funny because she probably didn't know everyone there was already attached to someone else. Haha!

And today, I had to drag myself out of bed at 6 a.m. to get ready for work since I didn't get the chance to finish some preparations I was supposed to finish last night. I suffered all day since I could fall aslep at the drop of a pin all day today. I could take a nap now but I want to go see Yodie!!!

Oh, my student said "If you mix Pepsi Ice with Pepsi Fire, you'd get Pepsi Water!"

Also, go to my cousin's blog. Isn't the Raja Muda of Selangor cute? I think he is. If he was at my school, I know which girls will go all kenyinyi and gedik over him. Yes, I've got some gatal students under my care too.
